The job
What a good website migration protects.
A good website migration moves you to a better platform without losing the search rankings, links and content you already earned. That means every old URL is mapped, redirected and checked before launch, not after traffic drops.
Process
How we run a migration.
- Inventory: crawl the current site and pull Search Console data, so we know which pages carry traffic and links
- Map: every old URL gets a destination: kept, merged (301) or retired (410)
- Rebuild: content moves into components, so it is easier to edit after the move than before
- Verify: redirects, canonicals, sitemaps and structured data tested on staging
- Watch: indexation and rankings monitored for the weeks after launch
Platforms
Common moves.
Page-builder WordPress to a native block theme. Webflow to WordPress when publishing volume or localisation outgrows it. A headless or custom site back to a CMS the marketing team can run. And the reverse, when it is the right call.
